Printelect Expands Vote By Mail Service in Virginia

Printelect welcomed new partners in Virginia for comprehensive Vote By Mail absentee mailing service in the November election. Culpeper County, Frederick County, Henrico County, Spotsylvania County, Stafford County, and the City of Suffolk joined the family of localities for whom Printelect provides printing, production, insertion, and mailing of absentee ballots and materials. These localities joined the City of Hampton, City of Norfolk, City of Richmond, and City of Virginia Beach to benefit from our locally-based service that gets ballots to Virginia voters faster and more accurately. Suffolk is a Dominion tabulation user, while Norfolk utilizes Hart. Printelect has proven performance for printing ballots for these systems. While Printelect is a tabulation partner for ES&S, we are capable of providing ballot printing and mailing services to every Virginia locality regardless of the tabulation system used. Printelect looks forward to announcing new partners soon who will utilize our Vote By Mail service in the Presidential Primary. Stay tuned!

City of Richmond Upgrades to DS300 Tabulators

The City of Richmond is the first locality in Virginia to adopt newly-certified DS300 tabulators. The Electoral Board and the Office of Elections replaced their fleet of DS200 scanners with new DS300s while upgrading the firmware in their ExpressVote ADA Ballot Marking Devices. Richmond will enjoy faster ballot scanning due to improved processor speed and greatly improved speed in results report printing which means a quicker process for voters, pollworkers, and results reporting. The upgrade also included a redesigned ballot box– improving transport, handling, and lock security. Due to the similarity of the user interfaces in the DS200 and DS300, the new scanners were implemented without the need for much additional training; a bonus to the upgrade. The DS300 was developed for compatibility with the new EAC VVSG 2.0 standards. This upgrade positions the City to be ready for these new standards when mandated by the Virginia Department of Elections.

Spotsylvania County and City of Waynesboro transition to ES&S for Tabulation

Spotsylvania County and the City of Waynesboro became the newest ES&S tabulation partners in Virginia with their selection and implementation of the DS300 and ExpressVote. Spotsylvania is a former Unisyn user, while Waynesboro moved away from Dominion. These localities will benefit from the next generation VVSG 2.0-compatible functionality and hardware of the DS300 scanner. Waynesboro and Spotsylvania will benefit from the nimble, comprehensive, locally-based service that the ES&S-Printelect team provides.

Swain and Graham Counties Select DS300 Tabulators and ExpressVote Devices for Enhanced Voting Systems

In a pivotal meeting held in October in Bryson City, representatives from Swain and Graham Counties convened for live demonstrations by ES&S/Printelect and Hart Intercivic. Following meticulous evaluations encompassing voting tabulation equipment, pricing structures, and company assessments, both county boards of election unanimously resolved to proceed with DS300 tabulators and ExpressVote ballot marking devices. The decision, propelled by a comprehensive review process, underscores a strategic move towards advanced voting technology. Notably, the established track record and unwavering support offered by Printelect and ES&S, spanning 17 years, played a pivotal role in securing this vote of confidence from both counties. Their history of proficiency in providing tabulation equipment, ballot printing, election coding, and an array of election products has solidified a longstanding partnership with Swain and Graham Counties.
