Printelect Helps Disability Rights NC Celebrate 5 Years!
The event was held at the McKimmon Center, on NCSU campus. There were over 250 RSVPs for the gathering, which was to commemorate 5 years of advocacy.
Printelect Account Executive, Chris Andrews, was at the event demonstrating ES&S’s AutoMark ADA Accessible Voting machine. The machine uses a variety of accessibility tools, such as a Sip & Puff device, dexterity paddles, braille, high contrast screen, headset, ballot dictation & marking, and touchscreen capabilities.
A test NC election, with questions like “What is your favorite NC Region?” was available, and all of the voters were allowed to keep their “demo” ballot. With voting awareness for adults with disabilities being such an important cause, especially in a presidential election year, everyone involved was glad to have the voting machine there to educate.
